St. Joseph's Oratory

St. Joseph's Oratory

The interior of the Oratory contains an altar underneath a wooden statue of St. Joseph.  The original marble statue, a gift of Mother Immaculata, was taken to Patterson, NJ when the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception moved there from St. Bonaventure in the 1960's.

For years, a bell on the chapel was rung twice a day to remind members of the St. Bonaventure community to pray for the dead and dying.

While the chapel is still in use, the doors have been locked since the 1960's due to regular vandalism.
