from the publication The Secular Journal (1959) and the typescript The Brown Journal

This chart compares the dated entries in the manuscript journal source to those in The Secular Journal and the Brown Journal, and shows where there is a match both in date and in relation to subject matter. The matches are usually not a simple matter of transcription, but rather they involve editing from the manuscript source either by excerpting sections, or by reworking the text in part or as a whole. The same kinds of editing are in evidence between the Brown Journal and The Secular Journal.
