Subject: Teaching notes on English literature used by Merton for classes at St. Bonaventure College. Towards end of notebook there are 4 pages (inverted) of notes on the common good, government and justice.
Provenance: Presumably given to Fr. Irenaeus Herscher when Merton was preparing to enter the Trappist Order in December of 1941.
