FRIEDSAM
MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Services for Walsh High School
Walsh High School students and faculty are welcome to visit the library
at any time! Please consult the library's
home page for current
hours. Below is a brief listing of services available:
Books
You are welcome to come to the library at any time to utilize any
of our print resources. While you cannot borrow materials, you are
welcome to make photocopies of anything that is needed. The library
has two photocopiers, and copies cost five cents each. Copiers take
both bills and change, and you can also purchase a copy card.
Reference Services
Our
AskUs 24/7 virtual reference service is available to you
whenever you would like assistance but are not in our building. If
you're in the building, please stop by the reference desk if you
have a question or need assistance!
Classes
If your class is working on a project that involves finding
information resources, we can schedule a library session for you.
Students--please ask your teacher to schedule a session for the
class. Faculty--please contact Ann Tenglund (375-2378
or ateng@sbu.edu) to arrange a library session for a class.
Computer Labs
Please present your Walsh ID to a staff member in the library in
order to obtain access to a computer in the computer lab.
Databases
All of the library's databases are
available whenever you are in the library building. Please
present a Walsh ID to be logged into a computer to use them.
Some of the databases are available to you off-campus. These
databases are part of New York State's NOVEL program.
Remember--this list of databases available off-campus is just a
small sub-section of the databases the library can make
available to you when you are in our building!
After downloading, you need to install
the program. Complete instructions are available via Adobe's
download site.
