International Relations

Working with the Political Science Department, the History Department developed a concentration in International Relations.  During the Spring 2007 semester Gavin Bailey, of the University of Dundee, is teaching a class on Anglo-American relations during the 20th century.  Mr. Bailey is a doctorial student specializing in Anglo-American relations during World War II.

Description:

The International Relations concentration allows history majors to emphasize an international perspective in their studies.  Students will take history courses in Latin American, European, Asian and World History as well as two courses in International Relations in the Political Science department.

The 300 level courses are the World History courses encompassing Europe, Asia, and Latin America .

Required:

Four history courses (12 credits) selected from any 300 level courses, History 475 or History 494:  Special Topics (if appropriate). 

Political Science 103:  International Relations (3 credits)  

Political Science 203:  Comparative Political Systems (3 credits)

Political Science 320: American Foreign Policy
