Internships

History majors have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and apply history outside the classroom.  Below is a picture of history majors interning at the St Bonaventure archives during the spring 2007 semester.  On the archives web site you will find a great deal of information on the school's history, much of it produced by history majors, under the direction of archivist Dennis Frank..

Intern enroll in History 495:  History Internship for 3 credit hours.  The Internship Guidelines can be found here.

Students do not have to intern on campus.  History majors have interned at a variety of regional historical societies, businesses, and non-profits working on a wide variety of projects from creating exhibits to researching grants for historic downtown renovation.
