Summer Programs

Advertisements for Summer Programs may be found in a wall-mounted binder in the first-floor hallway, near room 121, of De La Roche Hall. The Department of Mathematics receives advertisements for only a smattering of programs, but one of these programs may be just right for you. The NSF, AMS, and MAA links below offer more expansive listings of summer mathematics programs.

National Science Foundation (NSF) List of summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) funded by the NSF.

American Mathematical Society (AMS) List of summer REUs at institutions across the United States.

Mathematical Association of America (MAA) List of summer REUs at institutions across the United States.

MAA Summer opportunities other than REUs.

NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program at NASA.

National Security Agency (NSA) Co-ops and other summer programs at the NSA.

Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) The CUR supports undergraduate research opportunities for faculty and students at predominantly undergraduate institutions. In particular, the CUR provides a registry to facilitate matchmaking between undergraduates with research experience and graduate schools & employers seeking high-quality students who are well-prepared for research.

List of Summer Programs This list, provided by C. Sawyer at Southwestern University, is sorted by class (freshman, sophomore, etc.), topic (applied math, math & biology, etc.), and student diversity. Caution: The list was last updated in 2001.
