Compensation Policy For Faculty and Administration

Faculty and Administrators should be compensated at a rate comparable to that of individuals performing similar work at peer institutions and consistent with performance evaluation policy as found in the Faculty and Administrators Handbooks.

Such compensation must be guided by elements of merit and market. Toward this end salary ranges by rank and discipline for faculty, and by position for administrators, will be established based on peer school data. Furthermore, these salary ranges should provide sufficient latitude to distinguish meritorious faculty and administrators from others. To allow for meritorious distinction, this range should be from the 20th to the 80th percentile. The implementation and sustaining of this policy will be under the supervision of the President with the approval of the Board of Trustees.
