The American Flag will be lowered to half-staff during a National Day of Mourning, in accordance with National Protocol for the presentation of the American Flag and at the direction of the President of the United States of America, acknowledging a national hero(s) or National Day of Mourning.
The University Flag will be lowered to half-staff in acknowledgement of the death of a member of the University Community.
The University Flag will be lowered to half –staff in acknowledgement of: Friars who have faithfully served St. Bonaventure University; an active or retired member of the board of Trustees’ and active member of the University Community (employee or student); a retired employee who had successfully served the University for ten (10) or more years of service; at the specific direction of the St. Bonaventure University Community President, in acknowledgement of a Community leader or friend of St. Bonaventure University.
