Grievance Policy

In keeping with the spirit of Franciscan values that proclaims the dignity and worth of all persons, any member of the Bonaventure community has the right to grieve perceived mistreatment.

When a complaint involves alleged harassment, the University's policy and procedures on discrimination and harassment prevail, and the complaint must be resolved consistent with the University's Harassment Policy and Grievance Procedures. This policy and related grievance procedures are defined in Section V. Selected University Policies & Procedures.

Grievances other than those involving alleged harassment are to be heard according to the procedures defined in the handbook and related documents appropriate to the grievant, namely, Administrators, Faculty, Student, or Hourly Employee Handbook and related documents respectively.
