The responsibility for securing external financial support from private sources shall rest with the Office of University Advancement. The Office of University Advancement also has the responsibility for coordinating all requests for institutional grants from either public or private sources.
All University departments, academic and administrative, wishing to seek external financial support will do so with the approval of and following coordination with the Vice President for Advancement and his or her staff. The assignment of all prospects for the purpose of cultivation and solicitation will be coordinated by the Office of University Advancement. All such fund raising will be for projects and/or purposes which have been approved by the President. Departments are encouraged to seek funding in coordination with the Office of University Advancement.
