Public Safety Policy

(“Missing Students & Violent Felony Offences”)

In Compliance with New York State Law, Section 355 of the Education Law & Section 6206 of the Education Law, The Board of Trustees, St. Bonaventure University implements the following Public Safety Policy on Missing Students and Violent Felony Offenses.

In cases where a violent felony, as defined in subdivision one of section 70.02 of the New York State Penal Law, has been committed on the campus of St. Bonaventure University, and in the case of a Missing Student(s), (Missing Student means any student of St. Bonaventure University who resides in a facility owned or operated by St. Bonaventure University and who is reported to St. Bonaventure University as missing from his or her on-campus residence), the investigation of such incidences will be conducted by local law enforcement agencies. (A copy of the procedures concerning this policy may be obtained from the office of the Vice President for Student Life.)
