Any Faculty body, academic or professional, or Student Government recognized organization, or any other legitimately recognized organization of the St. Bonaventure University community may invite any speaker whom the body or organization judges to be a competent commentator on a given topic and who will contribute to the organization's or the community's intellectual, cultural, and spiritual development, in the knowledge that the organization must go through the proper channels to schedule the event.
Such organizations can invite these speakers in any of the following ways:
1. Through the general membership and the officers of the organization.
2. Through the officers of the organization.
3. Through a committee formed by the officers of the organization.
It is left up to the judgment of these organizations to decide whether the individual lectures will be open only to members of the individual organization, to the entire University community, or to the entire University community and the general public.
