THEO 205. Myth and Culture

The course is intended as a general introduction to the interpretation of the phenomenon of myth. It starts with the analysis of some methodological problems pertaining to the discussion of myths, and further examines several traditional ways of approaching the interpretation of myths on the material of the native and aboriginal tribal societies, as well as the mythology of contemporary society.

The course is part of a three-course sequence on mythology developed by the Theology Department.
