 December 2012  One Physics Major graduated.  Will be attending graduate school at Kansas State University.
 3 December 2012 Mary K. Harner is inducted into the SBU Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.
15 May 2012  Andrew Nicholson graduates with BS in Physics.  Accepts position in Applied Sport Engineering with the Orlando Magic.
 6 May 2011  Retirement reception for Dr. Neeson. 
15 may 2011 Courtney Bosse, Jacob Donius, Steve Gearhart, John Hasper, & Troy Mulholland all are inducted into the SBU Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.
15 May 2011 Four Physics Majors graduated.  All  are planning to attend graduate school.
Jan 2011 Dr. Neeson retires. He'll teach a course from time to time.
December 2010 One Physics Major graduated.  Plans to attend graduate school.
15 May 2010 Jack Fuller is inducted into the SBU Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.
15 May 2010 One Physics Major graduated.  Has entered graduate study in Secondary Education.
15 May 2009 AJ Kaluza is inducted into the SBU Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.
15 May 2009 Two Physics Majors graduated.  One is commisioned in the Army Engineers; the other has entered graduate study in Secondary Science Education.
Jan 2009 The Physics Department Offices are relocated to 120/121 DeLaRoche.

15 May 2008 Three Physics Majors Graduated.  Two are entering graduate study in Material Science, the third graduate study in Secondary Science Education.
31 March 2008 Amalie Donius, Kevin Miller, & Jeremy Valentine are inducted into the SBU Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.

15 May 2007 Daniel Barr and Dominick Patrone are inducted into the SBU Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.
15 May 2007 Four Physics Majors graduated.  One is employed in engineering, one is entering graduate study in Math, one is teaching high school.  The fourth is employed in a non-technical field.

15 May 2006 Stephen Schrader, Joe Abriatis, and Jonah Riddell are inducted into the SBU 
 Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter.
15 May 2006 Five Physics Majors graduated.  All five have entered graduate studies--one in
biophysics/biochemistry, one in civil engineering, one in radiology, one in
computer engineering, one in electro-optics.

 Fall 2005 Dan Barr has returned from service and resumed his studies.

August 2004 Dr. DiMattio is tenured and promoted to Associate Professor.
15 May 2004 Three Physics majors graduated.  One is commissioned in the Army Engineers; one is employed with a big construction firm & attending graduate school; one is entering a graduate program in Electrical Engineering.
30 April 2004 Internships for 2003: Justin; Nathan; Jeremy.
11 May 2003 Joseph Schneible is inducted into the SBU SPS Chapter.  He'll be going on to a Ph.D. program in Physics.
15 April 2003 Internships for 2002:  Nicholas; Patrick.
6 December 2002 Dr. DiMattio makes an astronomical presentation at the Pfeiffer Nature Center--Bradford Era
August 2002 Dr. Budzinski chooses semi-retirement.  Dr. Kiefer receives promotion to the rank of Professor.  
Dr. DiMattio is elevated to the rank of Assistant Professor.
6 May 2002 Peter Walters is inducted into the SBU SPS Chapter.  He'll be going on to a Ph.D. program in Physics.

21 May 2001 The Physics Department Summer Junk Disposal Project got underway today. The Project entails the systematic and ruthless disposal of unused, unusable, and useless items from the departmental classrooms and storage areas.
11 May 2001 Amela Softic & Paul Schneible are inducted into the SBU SPS Chapter.
