The solution in the solutions manual is for the current reaching 99% of its final value. t99=-(L/R)*log(1-R/V*0.99*if) But, the final current is if = V/R. Therefore t99=-L/R*log(1-R/V*0.99*V/R)=-L/R*log(0.01). For 1% of the final value, it's t01=-L/r*log(0.99). |
